Scoliosis is a condition in which the spine develops one or more abnormal side-to-side curves. The curvature may remain stable or progress and cause the spine to rotate. Depending on the severity of the curvature or rotation, surgical intervention may be required.
If surgical intervention is required, the XLIF or TLIF procedures can be performed to decompress and fuse the spine together. The fusion will correct and stabilize the curvature, preventing it from returning while the decompression will relieve any associated pain.
